How to Add Your Blog to Google AdSense and Start Earning

Monetizing your blog with Google AdSense is one of the easiest ways to generate passive income online. If you’re using Blogger, you can integrate AdSense seamlessly and start displaying ads in just a few steps. This guide will walk you through the entire process.

Step 1: Set Up Your Blogger Blog

Before you can apply for AdSense, you need a blog with original content. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Create a Blog on Blogger

    • Go to Blogger and sign in with your Google account.

    • Click "Create a Blog", choose a name, and select a theme.

  2. Write High-Quality Content

    • Google AdSense requires your blog to have valuable, unique, and original content.

    • Publish at least 10–15 well-written blog posts before applying.

  3. Set Up Important Pages

    • Privacy Policy (Required for AdSense approval)

    • About Us

    • Contact Us

  4. Customize Your Blog

    • Choose a clean, professional theme.

    • Optimize navigation for a better user experience.

Step 2: Apply for Google AdSense

Once your blog has enough content and a professional layout, you’re ready to apply for AdSense.

  1. Go to Blogger Dashboard > Earnings.

  2. Click "Sign up for AdSense".

  3. Fill in your details and submit your blog for review.

  4. Google will review your blog (this process can take a few days to a few weeks).

Tips for AdSense Approval:
✔ Ensure your blog has high-quality content.
✔ Use a professional domain (e.g., MonetizeWithAdsense.com instead of a Blogger subdomain).
✔ Follow AdSense policies strictly.

Step 3: Placing Ads on Your Blog

Once approved, you can start displaying ads.

  1. Enable Auto Ads: Google automatically places ads for the best results.

  2. Manually Add Ad Units:

    • Go to Blogger > Layout.

    • Click "Add a Gadget".

    • Select AdSense and place the ad in your preferred location.

Step 4: Optimize Your Earnings

To maximize revenue, follow these tips:

Write SEO-friendly content – More traffic means higher earnings.
Use responsive ads – Ensure ads display well on mobile devices.
Avoid too many ads – Keep a balance for a good user experience.
Follow AdSense policies – Violations can lead to account suspension.

Final Thoughts

Adding your blog to Google AdSense can be a game-changer for monetization. Focus on creating valuable content, following AdSense guidelines, and optimizing your site for better ad performance. With patience and consistency, you’ll start seeing earnings from your blog.

  1. I have some doubts . If I have adsense account of my blogspot the same as that of my youtube channel, then, do I need to wait for my youtube channel to be monetised in order to get adsense to monetise my blogspot? Second doubt: Can I share my posts here from blogspot to my other blogs on substack and Medium and vice versa from substack to blogspot? Please help.
